WEIRD SEA MONSTERS
I have just found an awesome new website called Weird Sea Monsters. It is a collection of photos and information about all the strange things that live in the ocean. Funky and fascinating!
MMM, BABY VENISON!
The place where I work is nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains and so we see a lot of wildlife, especially deer. Two mamas and their babies strolled by my office today. One fawn is a bit older and bigger with white spots, and there is a little one lying down.
PHILIPPE’S HOT DIP
So after the Renegade Craft Fair we walked over to the famous Philippe’s restaurant, home of the French Dipped Sandwich. It is well worth the wait in line. Here is a picture I took while we waited in line:
And here is a picture of my food. I got the single-dipped beef sandwich, a side of cole slaw, and a diet Coke. And don’t forget to add their home made spicy mustard! It made my eyes water! Delicious!
RENEGADE SHOPPING FAIR
So today my friend A and her man J and I went to the Renegade Craft Fair in downtown Los Angeles at the Cornfields park. It was a lot of fun and I spent too much money. I bought a lovely wide buckle bracelet from Leighelenda. Mine was black/silver with a silver buckle. They look like this:
I got an adorable evil bunny mug from Skeletal Dropkick that looks like this:
And finally I bought my husband S a cool numbered limited edition print by the artist Jesse Kuhn at Raw Toast Design:
He has lots of great prints. I might buy some more from his website. I particularly like Poor Little Calamari and Three Blind Mice.
There were also lots of hipsters around, naturally. I tried to take pictures of some but A’s elbow kept getting in the way.
