In Little Tokyo in downtown Los Angeles there is a new shop called Paulette Macarons. I think the first location is in Beverly Hills. Hubby picked up some for us, chocolate, lemon, and raspberry. They were SO GOOD. The chocolate was FANTASTIC. I want to go back and try one of each. Here are some pictures. I already ate one lemon before I took the picture. I keep forgetting to take pictures of my food before I start eating.

 

MMM, FRIED VEGGIES

Hubby and I went to my favorite tempura restaurant yesterday. It’s a little mom-and-pop place in Burbank called Tokyo Yakitori. They do teriyaki chicken, beef, and salmon, the best tempura you’ve ever had, and assorted other Americanized Japanese items. I got the veggie tempura, and Hubby got the salmon teriyaki combo that comes with tempura, and both come with rice and salad. I put those red pepper sprinkles on my rice. Yum.
