Food trucks have become very popular in Los Angeles, as well as all over because of certain TV shows which I don’t watch because we cancelled TV. But on Saturday Hubby and I were at our local farmers market in Burbank and The Gastrobus food truck was there:
It doesn’t look as exciting as some of the other food trucks, and it is a bit smaller, but it was FANTASTIC!! All the produce they used was purchased at the farmers market that morning. Here is their menu:
They were giving out free samples of ricotta donut holes with lemon curd, which was AWESOME but I don’t have a picture of it. We ended up buying the scrambled eggs and toast:
and the Crispy Yukon potatoes, which came with a dill hollandaise sauce, and were perfectly seasoned with coarse salt and parsley:
And we got a blood orange ricky (a drink made with soda water and lime juice, and blood orange juice):
All of this cost us only $12.50, plus $1.50 in the tip jar. If we had gone to the diner nearby it would have cost us about $12.50 just for one entree! They are going to be at the market next week too so we are going back because the food was GREAT!
