DINING AT DEBELL
After going on a nice hike with Dottie and C-mom, and then dropping Dottie back off at home, C-mom and I went to the DeBell Clubhouse Grill for lunch. Since we had enjoyed being outside for our hike we wanted to continue to enjoy the beautiful day so we ate on the patio. And a plus side of eating outdoors at a golf course that’s nestled in the hills of Burbank is that you can enjoy nature as it wanders by.

Here's one of the four mule deer that were walking across the golf course. They don't seem to mind the people trying to play golf around them.
DOTTIE DISCOVERS TURTLES
Today I want for a hike with Dottie and Appelina’s mother, who is in town for a week. She will henceforth be known as C-mom (Canada-mom). We went to Franklin Canyon Park and had a great time sniffing trees and chasing squirrels. And then Dottie discovered the sunbathing turtles (red-eared sliders, invasive)! Don’t worry, no turtles were harmed or eaten.
