RED BUTTE BOTANIC GARDENS – PARK CITY UTAH

Hubby and I went to Park City, Utah again last month. We went to Red Butte Botanic Gardens, which is a nice place to see the fall colors. It seemed dryer than the last time we were in Utah, but it was still pretty.

this could be in the hills around Los Angeles!

I think this is a Golden Eagle! Note the yellow beak and legs.

KILAUEA POINT NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE – 3

Here are some Nene birds, Hawaii’s state bird, a Hawaiian Monk Seal that is sun bathing, and some nesting birds that I think are Shearwaters.

Some nesting Nenes.

KILAUEA POINT NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE – 1

In Hawaii on Kauai I went to the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge. It’s very pretty and I saw lots of birds that I’ve never seen before, which will be shown in the next few days.

The refuge is home to some of the largest populations of nesting seabirds in in the main Hawaiian Islands. Visitors also have a chance to view spinner dolphins, Hawaiian monk seals, native Hawaiian coastal plants and Hawai‘i’s state bird – the nÄ“nÄ“ or endangered Hawaiian goose.
