UNSPEAKABLE HORRORS!!

Atrocities like this only come around once a generation. It is almost too horrible to describe, and those dared to gaze upon it shudder and wake screaming in the night. It is known as…CHERPUMPLE!!!

It appears to be a normal cake, but the trickle of goo is an ill omen.

Burnt offerings are placed upon it in an ancient ritual.

I am going mad just looking upon it! How can something such as this exist in a sane world? Cherry pie baked into a chocolate cake, on top of pumpkin pie baked into a yellow cake, on top of of an apple pie baked into a spice cake!! All topped with frosting and colorful sprinkles!! OH NO!!

 

Oh the horror of it all!!

Thankfully the monster cannot survive long in our world, and implodes upon itself, thus sparing all those who were not present at Appelina's and JB's BIRTHDAY PARTY OF DOOM.

I THINK I’M TURNING VEGETARIAN

Last week Hubby and I watched a documentary called Food Inc. Let me warn you, if you are at all squeamish or sensitive to horrible animal cruelty, do not watch this. Or at least skip the first 10 minutes. It will make you never want to eat mass-market meat again. It’s absolutely disgusting. So after I watched it I decided to be vegetarian, with the exception of eating meat when I know that the source is sustainable and humane, like meats from Niman Ranch or Whole Foods Market. So for the most part I eat no meat.

I feel kind of sheepish about this, no pun intended. I make fun of my vegetarian friends, in a good natured way. And now I am one, sort of. I need to find a name for a vegetarian that only eats humanely raised and slaughtered meat.

 

OH MY GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE?!?!

I’ve disconnected cable!! What is going to keep me entertained when I’m not at work or sleeping or in the bathroom? My husband had to go through half the day without it! We had to talk to each other during dinner! After dinner we spent time looking on hulu and netflix-on-demand to see which of our favorite shows we could still watch.

We’re not anti-TV now, we just didn’t feel like paying over $60 a month for cable, especially when it keeps blacking out during the last 30 minutes of Project Runway. Damn the cable company!

 

SILENT BUT DEADLY
